On Sunday, January 9th, after the Annual New Members Course, PPOC-MB hosted the President's Wine & Cheese Open House. This used to be held during December, but eventually, with dwindling number of members attending because photographers are SO very busy during December, it was decided to change it to early January and embrace a new year!
The event this year was held at the studio of Marlene Fast (PPOC-MB Secretary) in Mitchell, Manitoba. 24 members attended this social event and based on the length of time most stayed, it was a huge success! My only part in it was to host it at the studio. All the credit goes to Fred Elcheshen, who prepared the amazing chili and supplied the refreshments; JJ Ali was responsible for the yummy Asiago & Artichoke Dip and the hot hors d'oeuvres, and the platters of cheese, cold cuts, veggies and fruits - oh yes - and the chocolate tarts; and, of course, to Mimi Boulé who organized everything! It seems like a good time was had by all!
